FISH operates three thrift stores in Northern Nevada where all proceeds go to helping those in our local community. We summarize our services using our name, FISH provides Food, Instruction, Shelter, and Health care.
Austins House
ORGANIZATION
Austin’s House provides emergency shelter and compassionate care for children in Northern Nevada who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, giving a stable environment through physical and emotional support.
Navy Seal
FOUNDATION
The Navy SEAL Foundation provides critical support for the warriors, veterans, and families of Naval Special Warfare. They provide a comprehensive set of over 30 essential programs for SEALs, SWCCs, veterans, and their families.
Capital City Circles
INITIATIVE
Capital City C.I.R.C.L.E.S. is a cooperative community effort to elevate people out of poverty by intentionally creating relationships across class lines, and empowering them to chart their own course towards self-sufficiency.
Advocates to End Domestic Violence
ORGANIZATION
Our mission is to advocate for and empower those impacted by domestic and sexual violence by providing crisis intervention, shelter, and supportive and preventive programs while increasing public awareness to break the pattern of violence.
Nevada Bighorns Unlimited
ORGANIZATION
Protects and enhances Nevada’s wildlife resources for sportsmen, outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts, and future generations. After the almost total extinction of bighorn sheep in the state, NBU has been instrumental in the reintroduction of all three species of bighorn.
Ducks Unlimited
CONSERVATION
Ducks Unlimited conserves, restores, and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl. These habitats also benefit other wildlife and people.
Rocky Mountain Elk
FOUNDATION
RMEF and its partners provide financial support to carry out prescribed burning, forest thinning, noxious weed treatments, the establishment of wildlife water developments and other projects to enhance elk habitat. Additionally, RMEF provides grants for wildlife management and research.
