Before our subcontractors are selected, we evaluate their current safety program and record, assess their financial strength and capabilities, and perform an extensive bid leveling process to confirm scopes.
Our estimating process is more than just providing numbers. Our team has a vast database of information and brings decades of experience to the table. From the moment we receive a conceptual design, to the time the drawings are submitted for permit, we are consistently updating the estimate to ensure it aligns with the clients proforma.
This project delivery method simplifies the building process and provides our clients the security of a having a single source of responsibility for both the design and construction of their project. As the Design-Builder we will direct every aspect of the project from design to construction to turnover. Understanding every client’s project is unique, our design-build services are tailored to accommodate the client’s needs and offer flexibility, while considering safety, budget, schedule, and quality. Our team of designers and engineers will bring year’s of experience to ensure innovation, collaboration, unique design characteristics, and value throughout the design process.
This approach preserves the traditional contracting hierarchy while providing our clients and their design professionals the benefit of partnering with us throughout the pre-construction and construction phases of the project. Utilizing the design-assist delivery method, we provide input to the client and design professional to guide or influence the project’s design. This input is a result of many years of providing constructability reviews, scheduling, cost estimating, trade partner input, and building various types of projects throughout the country. The design professional maintains responsibility for the design, they just get the benefit of having the input of Metcalf’s team along the way.
