Project Administrator – Prevailing Wage Compliance

Metcalf Builders, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Project Administrator (Prevailing Wage Compliance) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have direct experience managing and ensuring compliance with prevailing wage requirements on public works and government-funded construction projects. This role will be instrumental in supporting project managers, subcontractors, and payroll departments to ensure full regulatory compliance.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws (e.g., Davis-Bacon Act, state-specific requirements).
  • Prepare, collect, and review certified payroll reports (CPRs) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Educate subcontractors and internal staff on prevailing wage requirements and proper documentation.
  • Track labor classifications, fringe benefits, and wage determinations to ensure alignment with contract requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records for audits and reporting.
  • Serve as a point of contact for government agencies regarding wage compliance issues.
  • Support contract administration, project setup, and closeout processes related to labor compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of certified payroll reporting and labor compliance documentation.
  • Familiarity with LCPtracker or similar wage compliance platforms (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience with prevailing wage or labor compliance on public construction projects. 
  • Experience with general contracting or construction firms.
  • Knowledge of union and non-union labor practices.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
