METCALF LEADERSHIP

Jonathan Cardenas serves as the organization’s Director of Finance and Accounting. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Nevada, Reno, and brings more than 10 years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience to the team.

Jonathan began his accounting career with Metcalf Builders, where he spent four years as a Senior Accountant before advancing into a Controller role with a regional paving company. Throughout his career, he has led financial operations for multiple mid-market, multi-state organizations, developing deep expertise in construction accounting, financial controls, and operational efficiency. He is currently pursuing his Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) certification to further strengthen his industry specialization.

A native Northern Nevadan, Jonathan is recognized locally for his high-level accomplishments in distance running, including two national championship titles and a top 4 team finish at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. Outside of work, he enjoys camping with his family, date nights with his wife, and keeping up with his two energetic young sons. He is also an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and the Boston Celtics.
