In a unique twist on holiday donation drives, Metcalf Builders, a leading construction company in Northern Nevada, has kicked off a ‘Toys & Tools Holiday Drive’ to benefit a nonprofit children’s charity as well as local construction programs. The ‘toy’ part of the drive provides children’s toys to Toys for Tots, and the ‘tools’ portion will provide tools to construction program classrooms at ACE High School and Western Nevada College (WNC).
“The initiative aims to contribute to the educational and recreational needs of the next generation of builders,” said Metcalf President and CEO Bryce Clutts, referring to the tools that will be collected and donated. “We know that classrooms can use extra tools as the students work through their curriculums and learn about the different aspects of construction.”
The toy donations need to be new and unwrapped, and the tools need to be in good condition and range anywhere from power-tools to wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers and more.
The drive runs from now until December 18. Individuals can drop off toys or tools anytime between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays at any of the locations below:
