Metcalf Builders, an award-winning construction company headquartered in northern Nevada, announced today it has started construction on ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham. The hotel will be located at 545 Double Eagle Ct. in Reno, NV.
The 42,661 square-foot, four-story hotel will have a wood-framed design, an exterior of stucco and stone, and 100 suites. This marks the first time this hotel brand will be developed in Nevada.
“Metcalf is excited to help bring this hotel concept to fruition in the Silver State,” said President and CEO of Metcalf Builders Bryce Clutts. “ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham will provide a comfortable space for visitors in the Biggest Little City.”
Krishna Paliwal, President of La Quinta & Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham and head of Architecture, Design & Construction of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, added: “Guests around the country are looking for affordable and comfortable long-term stays, and ECHO Suites is answering that need for guests and owners alike. Broadening the footprint of this brand is in line with our Wyndham mission of making hotel travel possible for all, and we look forward to adding this hotel to our portfolio in the coming years.”
Construction of the project, which is valued at more than $10 million, is expected to span over the next year, with an estimated completion date set for Summer 2025.
“Sandpiper is a strong believer in Reno as a growing market for both business and leisure travel, and we are excited to expand our hotel portfolio in the area with a fantastic brand like Echo Suites by Wyndham,” said Carter Rise Jr., Vice President of Development for Sandpiper, the developer of the hotel brand. “We cannot wait to begin welcoming extended stay guests to Reno in 2025!”
